Dear Valued Client,

We hope this message finds you well and that your spaces continue to feel transformed, thanks to the touch of Fox Bros. Painting. As we move forward in the year, we wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for choosing our company.

When we began the journey of starting this painting company we said we are going to commit to giving a percentage of our revenue to local charities. We don’t want to make people feel like it’s a sales tactic by sharing this with you on the front end, we wanted to share this with you after choosing us. Our company has continued to grow and we have meet some incredible people along the way.

Hiring Fox Bros. to complete your project has contributed to our growth, and has also enabled us to extend our value of generosity to various organizations in need. It is with great joy that we share our recent contributions totaling $9,000 this quarter to local charities and community projects. Your trust in our services has played a pivotal role in making this possible, and for that, we are immensely thankful.

Fox Bros. Helpful Painting Tip

Fixing Wood Pecker Holes

Inspect the Damage: Start by assessing the extent of the damage. If the holes are small and the surrounding area is intact, you can proceed with the repair. If the damage is extensive or the siding is compromised, consider consulting a professional :)

  • Clean the Area: Use a brush or a vacuum to remove any debris, dust, or loose wood fibers from around the hole. This will ensure a better bond when you apply the filler.

  • Choose the Right Filler: For small holes, use an exterior-grade wood filler. For larger holes, you might need a two-part epoxy filler, which provides a stronger repair. Both can be purchased at your local hardware store.

  • Apply the Filler: Using a putty knife, apply the filler to the hole, pressing it firmly to ensure it fills the entire cavity. Overfill the hole slightly to account for shrinkage as the filler dries. A second coat may need to be applied.

  • Sand the Surface: Once the filler is completely dry (follow the manufacturer's drying time instructions), sand the area smoothly with a fine-grit sandpaper. Try to blend the repair with the surrounding siding for a seamless finish.

  • Prime and Paint: Apply a coat of exterior primer over the repaired area to seal the filler and prevent moisture from entering. Once the primer is dry, paint the area with a color that matches your siding.

  • Prevent Future Damage: To deter woodpeckers, consider installing physical barriers like netting or bird spikes near the affected area. You can also hang shiny objects or use bird-repellent tape to scare them away.

Remember, it's important to address woodpecker damage promptly to prevent further deterioration of your siding and potential entry points for moisture and pests!
